About Me
Reem Monzer, Esq. is a true believer in justice, truth, and her purpose in co-creating a world where justice and beautiful ethics are the norm. Reem is the founder and executive director of a Palestinian women led grassroots movement, called Healing our Homeland – a community that creates a safe space for healing through awareness, connection, and compassionate support. Last year, Healing our Homeland opened the Homeland Center for Women and Children in the Nuseirat Refugee Camp, Gaza Strip, Palestine as the heart of the community. From 2017-2019, Reem was a Title IX Investigator in the Office of Institutional Equity at the University of Central Florida, her Alma Mater. From 2013-2017 Reem served as an Assistant State Attorney in the Ninth Judicial Circuit, Florida where she handled thousands of criminal cases, from DUI Manslaughter to Sexual Assault to Robbery with a Firearm. While at the Office of the State Attorney, Reem was assigned to the Special Victim’s Unit which specializes in gender-based violence and crimes against children. Most days you can find her writing, homeschooling (or sometimes world schooling!) her two children, volunteering, taking Tafseer classes, and spending time in nature.
